Prep. privacy

Your projects and budgets are sensitive.

Prep treats saved project data as private account data.

Privacy promise

Your saved projects are private to your account. Prep does not browse, sell, train on, or share your project data.

Private script check: uploaded through a secure connection, read only to create the report, and not used to train AI models. Only the report and selected settings are saved.

Projects stay private

Saved projects, reports, and settings belong to the account that created them. Other users cannot open them.

Not training data

Prep does not use your projects, scripts, reports, or settings to train AI models.

Clear controls

Saved project removal exists today. Account export and account deletion controls are coming soon.

Script checks

What happens to an uploaded script

What you upload

For an optional script check, you upload a screenplay file and Prep reads the current project settings you chose to compare it against.

What is processed

The file is sent through a secure connection. Prep extracts script text temporarily so it can create the report.

What is saved

Prep saves the analysis report, selected project settings, file metadata, extraction notes, and a script text hash for repeat-check matching.

What is not saved

Prep does not save the uploaded script file or the full extracted script text in your project history.

Security note

Cloud AI without training on your material

AI script analysis currently uses OpenAI's API when the AI pass is enabled.

OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used for model training unless the API organization explicitly opts in.

Technical access to saved project and report data is limited to support, security, or legal reasons.

Saved projects can be removed from active project history. Report-level export and deletion controls are part of the account controls still coming.

Related

Terms and Privacy will be reviewed together before paid launch, because saved projects, AI reports, billing, support access, and account controls all affect the same trust promise.
